The highly mature EAS market is flooded with a multitude of MAGNETIC DETACHERS produced by various manufacturers, with prices differing widely. It has become difficult to discern their true quality and performance solely based on appearance.
As a globally renowned EAS producer, ONTIME's MAGNETIC DETACHER INSPECTION STANDARD intuitively showcase the three most crucial factors affecting the quality and performance of magnetic detacher: magnetic force strength, magnetic energy intensity, and magnetic steel range. This inspection standard also serves as a reference for customers when purchasing magnetic detachers from different manufacturers, providing a basis for comparison.

-Magnetic Detacher
PART I DEFINITION
> Magnetic detacher
The shell is made of metal or plastic, and the internal part is filled with permanent magnet material (hard magnet material), which uses the magnetism of permanent magnet material to unlock the hard tag or release protection state.
> Permanent magnet material
Hard magnetic materials are a class of magnetic materials with considerable coercivity (not easy to magnetize) and high magnetic energy products [GB/T 2900.4-2008, Definition 3.7.4.1.14].
Note: Permanent magnet material refers to the material with wide hysteresis loop, high coercivity and high remanence, which can maintain constant magnetic properties once magnetized. It is also called hard magnetic material
> Unlocking device
A tool used to remove the anti-theft tag and release the protection status to prevent normally sold goods from being detected in the identification area. The unlocking device is usually used to unlock the anti-theft hard tag, so it is also called "Detacher".
Note: The unlocking device is divided into magnetic detacher, mechanical detacher and intelligent detacher according to the different unlocking methods.
PART II INSPECTION
> Magnetic Induction Intensity( Force Strength)
Magnetic induction intensity position
The center of the working surface of the magnetic detacher is used to detect the height position of the magnetic induction intensity.
The working position is generally specified as 5 positions, which are 0mm, 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm working positions, and the effective working positions are 4mm, 6mm.
Diagram of magnetic detacher position
Magnetic induction intensity positions test
Test Equipment: Axial probe Tesla meter, Position fixture.
Test Method: Use position fixtures with thicknesses of 4mm and 6mm respectively, to detect the magnetic induction intensity at the center of the magnetic detacher area using the axial probe of the Tesla meter.
Refer to Figure 2 for the test setup diagram.
The test results should comply with the specifications in Table 1.
Magnetic induction intensity positions requirement
The magnetic induction intensity of the positions of different specifications of magnetic detachers should comply with the requirements in Table 1.

> Magnetic Energy Intensity
Magnetic field capability position
The center of the working surface of the magnetic detacher is used to detect the tension position of the magnetic field capability. Effective working position: 0 mm, 5 mm
Magnetic energy test
Test equipment: digital tensile machine (HP-300), position fixtures, 5mm pads.
Test method: The fixture is fixed on the digital tensile machine, and the fixture is placed in the center of the unlocking part.
